Good health in a community depends not only on an efficient health care system capable of providing quality services, but also on community members themselves who need to be well informed about health issues so they can apply the necessary prevention methods.
Objectives:

To improve health service access and quality in the municipalities of San Miguel Ixtahuacán and Sipacapa
To implement activities in health education and prevention particularly for mothers and children
To organize health fairs each year
To provide health care in the communities selected
To coordinate and support the activities of local health organizations
Community leaders, teachers and students are an important part of this process and they should learn that
"Health care is everybody’s responsibility”
